All over the world there are over 15,000 Little Free Libraries housed in all types of unique structures including old phone booths, vending machines, small sheds, and open air towers. With the mission “to promote literacy and the love of reading by building free book exchanges worldwide and to build a sense of community as we share skills, creativity and wisdom across generations”, this movement is working to keep the love of paper books alive.
