HS Sakura Medal Voting Party

Students who qualified to vote in for Sakura Medal HS English and Japanese books and art gathered in the HS Conference Room to discuss the books, enjoy a pizza lunch and cast their votes! These votes will be added to those of all the other participating schools. We hope to hear the results soon!  Huge thanks go out to our Friends of the Library parent volunteers who decorated the room and served the lunch.  We also thank art teacher Brendan Sarsfeld for his support of the Sakura Medal Art Competition

The library is looking for art submissions for the Sakura Medal Art Competition.
If you would like to enter please speak to your art teacher, or deliver your artwork as a hi res image (at least 1 MB) via email directly to Mrs. Hayakawa by April 9th.  We will choose six pieces to represent ASIJ. These pieces will then be voted on by all the schools participating in the Sakura Medal. The winning artwork will be sent to the author who wins the medal.
Artists who participate get a vote in the art competition and an invitation to the HS Sakura Medal Voting Party at the end of April.
