Ernest Hemingway’s Passport Photo from 1923
Hemingway was 24 years old and on his way to Paris where he would spend time with other expatriate and French writers and authors, including F. Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald, Gertrude Stein, Picasso, Sinclair Lewis, Ezra Pound, Thornton Wilder, Sherwood Anderson, and Henri Rousseau. Watch the movie, “Midnight in Paris” to get the idea! Hemingway wrote about his time in Paris and the gatherings at the the Stein salon at 27 rue de Fleurus in the book, A Moveable Feast.
